Implementing Financial Disclosure in Local Government: Content, Scope and Standardisation
According to Transparency International, "disclosure is to politics what financial statements are to business". How effective is the financial disclosure regime in South Africa, and what can be done to strengthen this potentially powerful tool? This policy brief is produced by the Governance and Corruption Division of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS). It is an output of a project which aims to manage and detect conflicts of interest in public life, thereby promoting transparency and accountability in South Africa.

Kenya City Integrity Report
The Kenya City Integrity Report is a bottom-up scorecard of transparency, anti-corruption and accountability efforts in Kenya’s three largest cities – Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi. The project is one of the first attempts to comprehensively assess good governance and anti-corruption mechanisms at the city level in Kenya. The report provides empirical assessment of areas such as - information transparency, elections, government conflicts of interest safeguards & checks and balances, fiscal and budgetary management, and public administration and business regulation.

2011 Ibrahim Index of African Governance
the Ibrahim Index is the most comprehensive collection of quantitative data that provides an annual assessment of governance performance in every African country. It compiles 86 indicators grouped into 14 sub-categories and four overarching categories to measure the effective delivery of public goods and services to African citizens. 2011 East Africa Bribery Index
The index aims at measuring bribery levels in both the public and private sectors in the five countries in the region - Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania. In the 2011 edition, a survey was conducted with almost 13,000 randomly selected respondents in all countries between February and May 2011. The results showed that Burundi continues to be the country with the highest level of bribery (37.9%) in the region, followed by Uganda (33%) and Tanzania (31.6%). Rwanda is the least bribery prone country, with a bribery prevalence of 5.1%.

The data includes national, regional and global estimates.
