Hertie School of Governance seeks to employ a post-doctoral researcher in the field of fiscal transparency and good governance for the Horizon 2020 project.
The selected candidate will contribute towards project research and publications. The post-doctoral researcher will be offered a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. This is a full time position (40 hours) and is expected to start in March 2015. The post-doctoral researcher will be based in Berlin at ERCAS, chaired by Professor Alina Mungiu-Pippidi and will work in close contact with Dr. Mihály Fazekas, DIGIWHIST Project Coordinator, University of Cambridge.
|Key duties and responsibilities||% time spent/ frequency|
|Assist in a large scale data collection exercise across Europe, in particular the creation of a repository of online public procurement data sources and data content; negotiating data access with public organisations (public procurement and others); and gathering company data.|
|Conduct analyses on the collected legal and behavioural data to gauge database scope and quality, develop new indicators of transparency, corruption, and administrative quality, and explore emergent research and policy relevant issues.|
|Co-author several policy papers and journal manuscripts.|
