The conference invites political scientists, as well as scholars from other related disciplinary traditions to reflect upon and reassess the nexus democracy-governance-identity in contemporary politics.

The International Interdisciplinary Conference of Political Research is an annual joint session of workshops held at the University of Bucharest between 8 – 9 May 2015,  aimed at offering a space for academic exchanges on timely political research topics, as well as on the latest advancements within the discipline and the profession(s) of political science. Initiated in 2014 by the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest (FSPUB) to mark the anniversary of 150 years since the establishment of this university, SCOPE is organised primarily through the FSPUB research centres and their partners.

The conference invites political scientists, as well as scholars from other related disciplinary traditions to reflect upon and reassess the nexus democracy-governance-identity in contemporary politics. In addition, on 7 May a special workshop on Social movements will be held to honour the work of Donatella Della Porta (European University Institute, Florence).
