2011 Harvard Graduate Conference in Political Theory

The Department of Government (FAS) at Harvard University will host a conference for graduate students in political theory and political philosophy on October 28-29, 2011. The conference will take place at the Center for Government and International Studies (CGIS), in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Papers on any theme or topic within political theory—from the history of political thought to contemporary normative and conceptual theory—will be considered. The conference will allow graduate theorists to present their work to peers in an ecumenical setting. Presenters will be drawn from graduate programs across the country, and hopefully the world. Papers from anywhere along the entire span of political theory will be eligible.
