East Africa Bribery Index
Source - Transparency International Kenya
Description - Transparency International-Kenya’s East Africa Bribery Index captures citizens’ first hand experience of bribery and corruption in Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Findings indicate that except for Rwanda, where bribery was found to be negligible, all countries face major corruption challenges in key institutions such as the judiciary, the police and local authorities. Public service institutions were perceived as the most bribe-prone institutions, compromising access to water, electricity, health and education services.
