Corruption in Afghanistan: Bribery as reported by the victims

Description - This report is based on results from a sample survey conducted in rural and urban areas of Afghanistan. The survey covered 12 provincial capitals and more than 1,600 villages across the country: overall more than 7,600 people were randomly selected and interviewed. The survey was conducted between August and October 2009 and it recorded the real experiences, as reported by respondents, in terms of bribes paid and contacts with public officials in the 12 months before the survey.
