Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management gives delegates an excellent introduction to the basic principles and core concepts of risk and risk management.

Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management will ensure you develop a good understanding of the wide range of risks associated with compliance and regulation, and how these risks can be assessed and managed effectively. This course will consider both domestic and international risks, as well as critical risks associated with ethics, culture and behaviours. The course is highly interactive, with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.

Methodology

As part of the course, delegates will undertake a combination of case studies, group discussions and exercises. Delegates will also have the opportunity to apply the techniques and lessons learnt from the case studies to their own company, organisation, and role-playing.

The Course Director is an energetic, determined and innovative Compliance and Ethics expert with strong commercial, analytical, relationship management, transformation and programme delivery skills. He is currently the European Knowledge Director for LRN, an organisation that has helped 15M people at 700 companies in over 100 countries to simultaneously navigate legal and regulatory environments whilst fostering an ethical culture, leading to leadership behaviours that create sustainable competitive advantage since 1994.

He was formerly the Group Director of Compliance and Ethics for BT (British Telecom) in London and is a past winner of the Compliance Register’s Best Compliance Officer award, when he also won the Best Compliance Company award. He was subsequently the subject of a full-page Daily Telegraph national press article - ‘Compliance and Science’.

He has an innovative and practical approach to compliance, using techniques such as ‘Compliance not Complacence’ - whilst recognising the ‘Cost of Compliance’. His recent Whitepaper - ‘The Compliance Covenant’ - was the featured article in Compliance and Ethics Professional, the US’s leading industry journal. He draws on a wide-range of practical experience of compliance, including the Bribery Act and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
